About
This is a blog about restoring 60’s American compact/economy sedans. It’s purpose is to cover non-muscle car restoration. Focusing on the average guy doing most of the work at home in the driveway. My cars are a 1965 Dodge Dart GT, 1968 Plymouth Valiant 200, and a 1969 AMC Rambler. I will cover things like body work, electrical, basic engine and drive train repair. I broke ranks as a MOPAR nut and hope to include info on other cars such as Ford Falcons, Mercury Comets, Chevy II’s, Novas and Corvairs, Studebaker Larks, AMC Ramblers, etc.. There will be no discussions of Hemi’s, 427 Cobra Jets, or rare 1 of 1 cars. I’m so sick of reading that crap!!! This is for the basic classic car that is to be driven daily. All the info I can provide is geared towards putting together a nice, dependable, fun car you can use. No Barrett-Jackson cars here. As I searched the internet over the last few years, I find it really hard to find basic information about fixing and restoring these cars. It’s all about customizing, and big horse-power. So I welcome others who wish to add to the blog, and correct what I’m sure will be many mistakes on my part. And I hope this blog grows into a useful tool for the average guy who doesn’t have a lot of money for a perfect restoration, but is still into preserving the history of these old cars. And a place for me to learn as well. So if you’re a guy who likes to hang out in his drive-way with a radio tuned to your local classic rock station, a beer, and some sand paper…. This blog’s for you!

Your blog is impressive bubby! I’m proud of you and hope this does well. Lots of info. It’s midnight here in Atlanta and Drew and Greg are probably busy burning something in the firepit at the moment, but I’ll let him know about your blog. He loves cars too.
